Hi There
I'm Alexandra Bucokova, and I hail from Slovakia. Armed with a Master's degree in Sustainable Fashion, my journey has woven through diverse facets of the fashion industry, gathering experiences and knowledge along the way. Fueled by a passion for sustainability, I've taken the leap to establish my own consultancy company. My mission is clear: to assist fashion brands in embracing sustainability and eco-friendliness. Let's embark on this transformative journey together.
All About Me
I'm Alexandra Bucokova, a fashion sustainability consultant. My journey has been quite the global adventure, having lived, studied, and worked in five different countries. I kickstarted my academic venture at Berkeley College in New York, earning a degree in Fashion Marketing & Merchandising. Subsequently, I pursued a Master's in Sustainable Fashion at Polimoda in Florence, Italy.

During my time at Polimoda, I gained substantial insights into the challenges prevalent in the fashion industry. Collaborating with industry professionals, I developed the expertise necessary to establish my own consultancy.

My professional endeavors have spanned diverse roles in Slovakia, New York, Italy, and Dubai, with a focus on both sustainability and fashion styling. In my most recent role as a sustainability intern at Goshopia, an e-commerce platform dedicated to sustainable brands, I played a key role in onboarding new designers. My responsibilities included analyzing their sustainability strengths and offering guidance to enhance their practices, ultimately contributing to increased market success.

Why Dubai?

Dubai is actively steering its course toward a sustainable future, evident in initiatives spanning fashion, technology, housing, and events like EXPO 2020. Notably, the Museum of the Future in Dubai envisions a sustainable 2050, underscoring the city's commitment to eco-conscious practices.

For fashion brands in Dubai, aligning with eco-friendly principles is not just a choice; it's a strategic necessity. The city's trajectory towards sustainability, coupled with initiatives like EXPO 2020 and the Museum of the Future, signals a clear direction for future development. To thrive in Dubai, fashion brands must recognize that sustainability encompasses more than materials—it involves sourcing, production, marketing, and fundamentally, the business model.

This is precisely where my role becomes crucial. With a background in sustainability and hands-on experience with companies and institutions, I offer insights that go beyond the theoretical. I help fashion brands navigate the complex landscape of sustainability, enabling them to contribute positively to Dubai's future while staying competitive, innovative, and responsible in this evolving market.
